Panic Attacks

Panic attacks are sudden bouts of intense fear that may last from minutes to hours. They are often associated with anxiety disorders such as phobias but can occur spontaneously, for example when speaking publicly. Symptoms typically include:

an intense fear of imminent disaster, even death

palpitations

racing heart

shortness of breath

chest pains

dizziness.
